Yeah I guess they are the only simularities! Nice build though, looks like it hugs the curves of the car pretty well! bit heavy for what I wanted.

wow no one has posted on here in months! lol
I was thinking on doing that , it would be better off if the box was one piece, joined and then the amp raised up on a metal bracket would look awsome!

Ive never bought Fusion audio, im not really a big fan to be henest, the subs are too punchy and the speakers are too high pitched for me. Its not that bad for the money though.
Other things to look at would be mutant stuff and Fli (AKA vibe)
I would suggest...
Sell the 6x9's
Buy some 13cm front components, I just bought some pioneer ones for £40 or if you can then make some door pods so you can have 17cm speakers (the difference is immense!)
Then Id suggest on a budget maybe get 2 12" JBL subs (good for the money, not my personal fav though) £30-£40 each.
as for an amp im selling a VIBE slick A7 currently for £70 which will run 2 subs.
after all that buy an amp for the components

Piccys of the new install on my progress thread

you can either run 2 seperate wires, OR get a distribution block (basically splits 1 wire into many, usually 4) and do it that way, or daisy chain where you connect battery to amp and then connect the other amp to that amp. people say daisy chaining is bad but i dont think theres a problem with it as long as you're not running massive RMS and your battery cable is thick enough to handle the current for both amps

sweet in that case i may spent a fair bit on getting good components and 6x9s on one amp and get vibe a7 and two subs of that

no problem on spamming the thread! its only a how to guide! so long as its not my progress thread! lol

I would avoid daisy chaining, it is ok at low power but doesnt look nice and the connection isnt the best ever, if your gonna do it then might as well do it properly...
Id avoid 6x9's to be honest just because A) its not the done thing but B) They dont sound nice anyway and thats the important part!
My suggestion is buy some 13cm components like these for sound quality
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/3828.html

or these which ive used in the past and were pretty good (baby brothers of what im running now)
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/4696.html

or these if you want to keep it all VIBE
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/4253.html

As for sub and amp setup my amp produces 300 (4), 600(2) or 750(1 Ohm) watts RMS at different Ohm's (basically dependant on what sub you plug in it produces more power)...

This sub is on offer at £49.99 which is a good price its duel voice coil so with an amp like mine it will be getting 750watts up its arse which is quite a bit!
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/5599.html

Infinity = Quality over Quantity but should sound nice! and still be fairly loud, if you want quantity then...

2 of these wired in parallel will mean the amps puts out 600watts to run 2 subs that normally require 550 which is enough.
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/7135.html

Over powering subs is the best way! under powering causes problems!

or I have a 12" pioneer sub you can have for a tenner + postage and could send with the amp, its a basic 400 watts RMS sub but it never disappointed me tbh...

hope you appreciate all that as it took me bloody ages to do

Oh and yeah my new box is fibreglass, took me hours to make and its solid as a rock! took about 8 layers of matting and 8 litres of resin and hardner! lol

There are piccys on my progress thread of it and the fibreglass amp rack that I made
