Memory Card - Size?
should be getting a 1000d this month but not sure what size memory card to get.
This will be my first DSLR so not sure how 'trigger happy' i will be and also don't have a clue how many pictures different sized memory cards hold.
The one i have seen has the option of an 8GB Scan disc one.
help needed please

its better to get smaller ones, and more of them... example one 8gb, get 4 x 2gb... if one card corrupts, u only loose one card, not the lot!
ona 1000d a 2 gig on jpegs would do you fine in all fairness chap, and can pick them up for pennies.

i use 2 gig ones Mark and just keep swapping them depending on what i shoot
you can pick up some good offers on 7dayshop, i would avoid ebay like the plague when it comes to buying cards
you can also pick up a case for a few quid too

I use 2Gb cards rather than the larger capacity cards - less photos to lose if the card goes tits up and fails.

Dont use 8 gig cards.
If you are doing alot of shooting and the card fails thats 8 gig of data lost.
Multiple 2gig cards are better, and you can get them cheao from mymemory and 7day shop
Most scandisk ones come in a case and the extrem III came with a little pouch to fit 2/4 cards in.
