To hold the floor together
I knew i wouldn't be carpeting the floor so i thought i'd make it a little bit different and strong, hence the tonnes of screws i used.

Another Little Update...
Had a few odds and sods kicking round in the car, which needed a home:
So i made a centre console insert, which was given the trademark matt black finish:
Some pics of the completed insert (Switch in the top left to switch the gauge on and off, Gauge in the top right is an Autgauges smoked face voltmeter, Tub in bottom left is for chewing gum (can't drive without chewing ) and knob in the bottom right is an adjuster for the amp/subs):
Having a few problems with the voltmeter at the moment, but its just a dodgy connection im hoping.
Also jumped on the ashtray/iPod holder bandwagon:
Just i didn't realise the back of the centre console is solid , so next weeks project is to modify the centre console to allow the cable through and it will be fully operational

Go ahead mate i don't mind, there loads out there already that are similar so simple, but very effective.
The only plans i really got at the moment are: carpet the parcel shelf and the iPod holder and modify the back of the centre console to allow the iPod connection through.

The only time i get to work on the car is friday nights, so i'm hoping to have the centre console out, cut the slot in it and get it all back together on friday night, as i need to drive to work early saturday morning
I used a hole saw for the centre console insert, basically a drill in the centre with a cutter fixed to it. Their expensive to buy so i'd recommend trying to find someone with a set and use them. If not it'll cost you anything from 20 quid upwards depending on how many different sized cutters you need.
But if you meant the ashtray i drilled six holes, three 10mm holes about 1 mm apart and the same again about 5mm up from that row then used a circular file to link all the holes then used a normal file just to square everything up and flatten it out

More goodies have arrived, second hand batch of stuff this time, courtesy of Docsamty.
Got some new mirror covers and a new parcel shelf, which will allow me to return everything back to its OEM state when i come to sell the car, and some 10cm Pioneer coaxials to finish off the ICE
The best bit of it all is i got all the above for 15 quid! Bargainnnn!
Will a pic of my latest purchases tomorrow night, along with some more progress on the iPod holder i hope.
James

Thats was the intial plan, to build it and tweak it till its right in this sax, then when i get a VTS just move it all across, but i've gone off the subs now tbh, so all that will be moved across will be the comp's, coax's and centre console insert. Will then get a new headunit too
