I'd say COD4 was alot more popular than Halo3 tbh.

Personally I prefer CoD 4+5 to Halo 3 when it comes to Xbox live but they are all good games.
Playing Resident Evil 5 atm with a mate. The game is shit but it is quite fun playing with a mate over Xbox live.
Forza 2 is a must if you like racing games.
Gears of War 1 + 2 are really good as well even if they are a little short.
