Alot of people don't like the "halo" effect you can get around objects but I'd say it's more down to personal preference than anything?
The idea was to make the car stand out from the background as the picture is focused on one object, it's not a landscape where things should be more even.
PS: Hope that didn't come across as snobby or anything!
