Weird one!
Hi all,
I've got one annoying problem with my xbox and TV! I have no problems with the sound on the menu but as soon as I go to play a movie on one of my hdd's, I loose all sound! If I exit and go through the menu I can hear the bong noises it makes....
Anyone know what might be causing this?
Its all connected up using an hdmi cable...

Thanks guys. I've checked the leads etc and still nothing.
I don't think its a codec as its also doing it for some of the xbox videos....

Well i'm using the hdmi cable and not the hd components so you don't have to switch between. But thanks for the though

Thats what I was using the HDMI cable. Should have been clearer. I meant switch between HDMI and TV on the actual TV
