just wondering what re-sets and what dosent,

i know that your guns re-set and your call signs and emblems stay but was wondering about the accolades and challenges?

Acholades, Titles + Emblems - Stay

Everything else goes....Overall kills with a weapon are registered though (they go towards certain titles)

The extra Prestige challenges definitely makes it worth Prestiging at least once imo. The extra class is also nice.

Also the titles are evidence of challenges that you have done.

The first time you prestige you unlock the ability.. to unlock titles for weapons (iirc 1000 kills unlocks the weapon title and then another one for 2500 kills with it)

Aswell as 10 extra titles, 1 for each prestige (Round 2, Third time lucky etc. etc.)

yeah its abit ghay as you loose all your weapons, but the famas/ump are up there with the best of them, all you need is the pro perks, you should find yourself up to your usual performance by lvl 10-20

You also get extra classes every other prestige (1, 3) it seems. Not sure how many times it happens (but I'd guess it carries on) but that is definitely extra incentive for me to prestige as it means not having to quickly change around classes in between matches for different maps.

Some of the prestige challenges are reset when you prestige again, but it is only the bottom 4/6 irrc. The meaty ones, like Spectre, are not which is good.

The main down side once you have prestiged is no cold blooded until level 26 (roughly) which is a real pain in the arse. It is in the standard set classes, but you have to start with a 50cal. The standard classes are quite good actually and you have some perks and attachments that can take a while to unlock otherwise.

Yeah, I'm on level 3 like yourself, and very much appreciating the extra 2 class spots. I'm strongly considering not prestiging any more, so I can complete the challenges, but then I might get bored and want to prestige again. Oh bugger...

All the challenges that give you XP. A lot you never get to complete because of prestiging.

Hmm. I think I'm around level 45 at a guess. Not totally sure on dayus played. Maybe close to 8 now?

I just try to keep an eye on what I'm close to doing and try to do them before prestiging.

XP is only good for levelling up though iirc. Once you reach level 70 XP doesn't do much. The challenges are only then good for saying you have done it or to get the title or emblem.

The best challenges do not reset. Fcuk getting 1000 kills with the AC-130. I'm good with the Chopper Gunner and am only at 600 or so. The emblem for the AC challenge is far far better though.

I think you need about 2m or so XP to prestige. On COD4 it was about 108k. Scores on MW2 seem to be about x 10, so even if you x 108k by 10 it is 1m which means you need twice as much XP to prestige on MW2 than on COD4 unless I am mistaken.

You can't really compare the 2 versions in a fair manner. MW2 has many more challenges, including the prestige ones which allow you to level up quicker.

Checked last night, I'm on around 7 days and 18 hours. Just got to level 48 and now have the ACR again. Woo hoo!

It was more to gauge how I was doing against COD4. The extra 15 levels on MW2 over COD4 makes a lot of difference. I'm not surprised about that though, as the last 12 levels on COD4 required roughly as much XP as the first 43.
