What software
There was some photographers at my uni today, as they took pictures it appeared on the mac straight away so they could view it rather than looking at the lcd display. Is there any software on windows that does this, i dont really know what to type into google

Yes - Watch this space - Will search for it.
What camera make mate? I know on Nikons there is defiantly some software that does it you change the camera mode to USB or something

the software that comes with your camera can often do it.
Or something like capture one pro etc....
Its been around quite a few years, alot of interior design/portrait photographers use it

thanks for that, it looks like your camera has to surport it, i dont think mine does, ive got a Fuji s6500 fd

i got that software with my 7d its pretty cool as you can get live view on your monitor and use the x10 magnification function
