Default Memory card for camera (SDHC)

Hi, im looking at getting another memory card for camera and getting a little confused with all the classes n stuff. Ive got a kodak camera but dont wanna go for another kodak memory card because im sure theres better ones out there. Im thinking maybe a Sandisk Ultra II which is class 4, but does the class really mean much? my camera is a 10mp and class 4 is supposed to write at 4mb/ps so does that mean it will take just over 2 seconds to save the captured image? And if i went for a 6 or even 10 class card it will mean it saves pictures quicker. can anyone recommend and good brand? kingston any good?

It all depends on your camera to start with. Its like with CDs if you put a CD that can be burnt at up to 24 speed in a drive that can only burn at 4 speed you will still only get 4 speed. As for the question about a class 4 memory cars yes there up to 4mbs as the maximum possible speed to save Mega Byte photo would be a second. Though this is if you make the assumption your camera can do this speed. Also you have to add the actual processing time of the camera it self. Then take in to account any memory buffer in the camera. For example my camera will happily take take photos of over 4mb at 5fps as it has a high speed buffer. But then as soon as that is full you have to hold on for the camera to catch back up.
