Default A little help please?

just wondering how would you go about keeping only the colour on one layer/item of the picture kinda like this.....

pretty sure its 2 layers, one layer of the black and white image. then you use something like the magnetic selection tool around the car to select it and change back to colour. then apply the coloured layer onto the black and white later.


I think, i'm a complete photoshop noooob! but it makes sense

quite simple mate lasso around the car copy and paste into a new layer go back to the first layer (usually name background layer) i think its image the adjustments then black and white. simple

and if it turns out either to dark or to light use thr brightness tool to adjust the colour.
