Default Supercharged Cherry - New Car

Thought id start a progress thread on here as i have a few plans for the car,

Here is how i got it near standard apart from wheels and exhaust.

the exhaust was an Ashley Race system, in a word, LOUD! so decided to sell and get hold of a nice 2" pugsport, so i did.

At the same time the lad i got it off was selling a flocked dash so that was purchased had a bit of a faf fitting but looks great well worth it.

The paint work was looking a bit dull and pink so i took it to a mates for a a good clean clay and machine polish

Then ordered a set of S2 Rallye decals off a guy on RR, quality items! Fitted them straight away.

The clutch then decided to die, wich was nice so cracked on with replacing it myself, im not a mechanic but cracked on with the help of the guide on here was easy enough, wish i had fitted an uprated item now though!!

Then Managed to get hold of a set of morrettes and nimrods, sold the nimrods and got hold of a set of the much loved ProRace 1.2

and as it stands today.....

Looks nice mate but take the Rallye decals off, it just ruins the whole look of the car.

As said they never made Rallyes in red so you will get the 'experts' going look at that GTI with Rallye decals on it.
I had always thought about it on my GTI and that's what stopped me.

Subtle things like this make a good cherry GTI, this was my old one:

Parked next to a real rallye,
I'm not having a dig although it looks like I am.
Just my opinion the rallye decals spoil the car.

Ah see a proper anorak knows they did make an s2 rallye in red, yellow and black but wasnt sold directly in England.

In Cyprus for example you can have a RHD 16v rallye in red or yellow as well as the standard white and blue.

If I do come top own a cherry red s2 106 it will have rallye stickers on it, the half leather will be in the skip thou as its not needed in such a car

Besides why would you actually buy a rallye when it only have 8v's...........

ive had 2 gtis and never thought of it as they were the wrong colour and had sunroofs so it would be obvious its not a rallye

This looks to be a gti but the black door handles are odd on it everything else though fogs badges colour is gti

The door handles confuse me though
