exactly what im doing found a full vtr conversion for 60 quid as engine needs attention so going to purchase it and get someone to rebuild it with some headwork and uprated cams going to tidy the bodywork and leave it how it is so its a sleeper

Got the photo's of the bumper fitted uploaded finaly...
Happy with it but the shade of white doesnt match exactly... i probaly will get another on the go and get it sprayed proffesionaly

i get loom ecu and engine but, the engine is smokey and has done 120,000 the joys of ebay! but as a first car i dont want to spend to much and also i cant afford a lot so.... it will get a good service and new gaskets and then get the head sent off! the bumper looks sweet

Im with you mate, bumper doesn't seem to match up greatly, looks a bit flat if im honest.
And decide on the rear height when you get it all lowered. Just say to whoevers lowering it, where you want the arch to sit. They will then measure the distance and try and get it as close as possible.

Ye its too light but its the same colour code as on the car. I dont have a clue by what flat means. i jus primed, sprayed and then lacquer lol

Haha by flat i mean it doesn't look quite as shiny and deep as the original paint on the car.

ok so i'v been slowly collecting various bits and pieces to lower it ect ect. Here's most of what i'v got in store and will all be fitted within the month!!!!

this is a great thread. sooo clean looking did you sand down with fine grade wet and dry between primer-paint or paint- lacquer?? thats what gives it its shine but hats off for making own attempt.

cheers mate, i decided 2 have a go at it instead of paying loads for a pro. i'l probs have another go and sand between each coat
