Galaxy S2 or IPhone 4S
Nearly bought a Galaxy S2 today, the T989 which i believe is the best one?
I go back tomorrow, however, a small part of me says I-phone 4S, as they have the Siri and i-cloud which seem pretty cool - also the guy in the shop said the S2 doesn't have the micro-sim so it's not LTE or something? so is that a lesser technology?
decisions, decisions...
(phone only, not bothered about deals/bundles etc)

S2 maybe has a slightly better spec on paper, but the App store is miles ahead and general comparability of the iPhone (plugs into car stereos/iPod docks etc) plus as you say iCloud and Siri. Also, the S2 is quite a big handset, the iPhone 4S is still slick and compact.
I've played with a S2, I was impressed. But my personal choice is the 4S. That's what I use.

I have the 4s and I'd say go Samsung. A lad in my office bought a nexis (sp???) and wow. It's an awesome device. Based on that the S2 would be on another level.

siri.. very cool.. but do you actualy need it?
i still have iphone 3gs and i will not buy another iphone (i think lol).
itunes sucks...to copy pictures or music or movie- you have to sync with itunes
which means that i can't go to my friend and simply copy pictures from car show (or any other files) to my iphone BECOUSE he doesn't have itunes.
and as far as i know you can use only one comuter to sync your iphone to.
no java support (not sure about iphone 4s)
and my phone really worked brilliant till they started to sell iphone4
and i think that becouse of iOS updates it got much slower (after year or two that might happen to iphone4s)
my brother have iphone4 and my friend - iphone4s
and after 10-15 min talking their voices start to sound really wierd LOL..
i would say - shop around there are plenty of phones out there
how about erriccsons and HTC's ???

Hmm, looks like galaxy then, will be more of a work tool so would want to pull pics off and e-mail etc so will go with that - that is the exact reason i have never bought an i-pod and bought an MP3 player instead.

I've got a 4s and the boyfriends got a Htc sensation which iirc is the same phone as the s2 and tbh I think both are crap.
I had a blackberry and wanted an iPhone for the faster browser/ Facebook etc and I liked the idea of siri. It's slower than my blackberry, I never ever use Siri as most the time it can't get anything I say and iCloud is awful, rarely syncs on the iPad altogether.
The Htc sensation is constantly freezing, it shuts down randomly when you open apps/the camera and it' seems pretty slow as well.
The only thing I like about them both is the good camera tbh

iPhone all the way.
I'm a reluctant fuck that doesn't like having the popular thing. Hated anything Apple purely due to its popularity. Bought an iPhone and I'll never have anything different.
In terms of the app store, nothing comes close. The Cloud is a nice addition, just plug your phone into the mains and it'll sync.
Even gone as far as paying over £1,000 for a MAC. Not bad to say I hated the company 12 months ago!

asking on saxp is the equivalent of flipping a 7-sided coin.

You should try to make the difference between what you want and what you need. I wouldn't want to have a company knowing and storing my data.

Owned both, Sold the iphone after 4 months, just got bored, too simple. S2 is miles ahead, soooo much more customizable and faster. Samsung don't give a damn if you've rooted it or not so no worries if you need to use their customer services, and you get 2 years warranty as standard. and with OTG you've practically got unlimited memory! The only phone currently on the market that has the same spec (apart from you can't take the battery out) is the motorola razr.

I'd get the iphone4 as it's cheaper then the s and all the s does that 4 doesn't is voice recognition wich I wouldn't use and it's lighter .. The 4 is light enough though..
But the main reason is .. 4s will still have teething problems.
Also if anything goes wrong with your iPhone u can go to an apple store and replace it there and then with an appointment. Most phone company's make u send them offend take weeks.. And usually give ya 2nd hand phone in replace as apple give new

Any electrical item comes with 3 years, standard EU law.
That new RAZR looks nice but seems ridiculously overpriced. Would not buy after my previous experience with motorola phones. They're certainly built with design in mind, but are dogshit slow and unreliable. Hopefully they have addressed these issues, time will tell.
