Default Boot build wiring help?

So recently i put an amp with 2 12 inch subs and 2 tweeters in my parcel shelf...

/\ picture minus the tweeters...

Anyway, my problem is i want to build a false floor and replicate this setup in the boot, but with 8 tweeters. I can't figure out how to wire this up. The problems being; Do i just run another power cable from battery? or do i NEED a distributor (no idea how to wire a distributor), What do i do with the remote wire to the new amp, what do i do with the RCA for the new amp (do these go into the output on the original amp?) How do i wire up more than one set of tweeters? (what crossovers?).

Also: none wiring related but if i pout a sheet of plexi glass over the whole system (lifted at the edges so not actually resting on the amp or subs) will it vibrate to hell?

Any help greatly appreciated.

"my problem is i want to build a false floor and replicate this setup in the boot"

Pic hasnt worked dont know what you want your setup to look like please re upload so we can see what you want to achive.

"but with 8 tweeters. I can't figure out how to wire this up. "

8 tweeters why do you need 8? tweeters are used in composite sets were you get a woofer for mid range and the single tweet would do the high's your just going to get alot of hissing. please state what audio equipment you have got so we would know if you have got the correct stuff.

"Do i just run another power cable from battery? or do i NEED a distributor (no idea how to wire a distributor), "

If i think your doing what i think it says here no you dont wire power straight to to the speaker itself you will kill it instantly. the + and - on the speaker terminal if referring to the + and - of the channels coming off your amp. Dont go direct to power! A distributor is used to connect more than one amp from the same feed coming from your battery. This however you must have ample gauge power lead to the distributor and must be fused within 10cm from the + of the battery and also each output from the distributor must be fused too.

"What do i do with the remote wire to the new amp, what do i do with the RCA for the new amp (do these go into the output on the original amp?) "

Remote wire if working correct for the first amp then run another wire from the remote input of amp 1 to the remote input of amp 2. Here a small draw of current is fed to both amps to turn on and stay on when your stereo is on and to turn off when the stereo is off, otherwise you will flatten your battery. For rca best thing to do is see if the back of your stereo supports another rca output, then run this to amp two. If not then you will have to get an rca splitter to sort this.

To be honest it doesn't sound as if you have enough knowledge to do this job. This sounds like a go for it and hope for the best. Unfortunately if not done correct all sorts can happen which i have seen. Power cables not the correct gauge so burned out, incorrect fuses used and cables crimped and electrician taped which will cause you problems in the future. Trust me i did for me. don't half ass your connections and unless you can solder id strongly suggest not doing it mate and pass the job onto someone who knows what they are doing because someone asking these basic questions don't have the efficient knowledge to do the task or be able to fix an issue if gone wrong.

But good luck with the build anyway if you need help post here and we will try our best.

Currently i have a power lead, going to an amp, connected to 2 crossovers, connected to 2 12 inch subs and 2 tweeters each crossover. i wanted to replicate this same setup in a false floor but with 4 tweeters each side. i now know thats stupid so want to copy the same setup as in the parcel shelf but with 5" speakers to replace the tweeters.

Why do you want so many tweeters?! Do you like ear piercing high pitch sounds?

I think the tip of the iceberg is mounting 2 subs on a parcel shelf. Just why?

Bloody hell and the sub-woofers are mounted to the parcel shelf? i think you need to stop take everything out and start again. Ditch all the tweets. Get hold of a component setup this will give you two tweets and two mid range woofers for the doors that's it. Use one amp for the door speakers and use the second for the Sub-woofers, get the sub-woofers in boxes as you will break the shelf with the amount of pressure let alone the vibrations. In fact just have 1 12" woofer 2 will sound bad and out of sync. You can then setup the first amp to hear just mid range and highs and the second to give you the bass.

I'm a DJ. I appreciate exactly the quality of sound required, i'm not going to compromise what i want for unnescecary "quality". As i as i said, it sounds fine to me. therefore the quality is to my own standard.

Well we will have to agree to disagree; being a DJ you should know your stuff here. I can guarantee that setup is not going to deliver good sound let alone life span. Also why have you mounted the subwoofers to the parcel shelf? i really don’t understand this must make horrendous rattling as it won’t even have ample sound deadening. As for amps what RMS do they run? What gauge power wire are you using? How many rca output ports are available on the back of the stereo? Without these questions answering we can’t assist any further.

The setup delivers perfectly adequate sound. the weight of the speakers stops any rattling. i mounted them on the parcel shelf purely because i wanted to. my mate sorted out the wiring so i can't answer any of those questions. Honestly, i wish i'd never asked.

Right so your basicly an all show no go sorta guy? You obviously have no idea what your doing when it comes to car audio, yet when people tell you what your doing isn't the best way to do it, you spit out your dummy? Listen and take aboard what people are saying, will get you a lot further!

I still can't get over the fact you've mounted pink subs in the parcel shelf!
