Removing airbag seats!
Hey guys.
Got my new vtr. Last night I went to swap the seats to gti leathers but then remember I have an airbag interior at the moment. Just wondering how I go about disconnecting them.
Like is there any particular order in which to unplug wires. Also how long would should I leave the battery unplugged?
Shannon

disconnect the battery for like 10mins
then its just the wires under the seats in any order i would have thought
Did someone put the seats in there, as vtr's dont usually have airbagged seats

once you unplugged the battery: do a safety drain by putting your contact and headlights on, so any capacitor in the circuit also gets drained.

No worries, it's much quicker than unplug and wait. I always tell people who have aftermarket stereos, some have huge capacitors that can trigger a spark even after being unplugged..

I would leave the airbagged VTR interior in it! They are pretty cool!
