I think they've made a huge step using blue ray, also the kennect
It's not the best looking but I can't remember the last time I looked at how a console looks and judged it on that.
The only thing im not happy about is if you buy a game it installs on your harddrive you no longer need the disc, so you give said disc to a friend they put the disc in they have to pay to install it or it wipes it off your harddrive wtf so no more pre owned games

If you read the review i've put up, they are busy trying to sort this out. Just means you wont be able to lend a game off a mate.

Hopefully they decide to backtrack on it.

There no chance that's gonna change it was set up because they put statistics up of how many preowned games were sold compared to New and xbox know there's a market they can stop and get the developers 100% of what they should have

Fair enough, but they need to think about what they are going to do.

They cant just close down a whole market! There have been numerous times ive lent a game from a mate or blockbuster etc and then went out and bought it straight after.

Something needs to be done. Be a big shame if they dont

Tbh when it comes to it's styling I think it's been designed to blend in with the other peripherals you may have in the living room. Personally I think it looks really nice.

As for Ethernet absence, there is a picture of the console from the back taken from the release last night and it looks like it may have one.

I for one will likely be buying one. Only thing is that they didn't mention anything about illumiroom.

Yeah that's what I was saying to my mates last night, the amount of preowned games I've bought is unreal, it's like they've done this so they can charge how ever much they want for games no doubt they'll be £60 a game

Yeah i like the styling, it doesnt stick out too much.

I only use wireless anyway as i have my xbox in my room and the routers downstairs. its always been fine, this one should be better with the upgraded wifi.

I'm going to start saving now i think!

wait if you want to use a pre-owned game, the original seller has to deactivate his installed game. then you can play the game on your console with out paying full price, is that how it works.

how much do you think it will cost £300 - 400 ?

People are missing the point here. They ARENT stopping preowned games.

If you buy it pre-owned, it wipes it from the original console. Well, they've sold it so rightly so!

Id say if that was the case with preowned games, it would more be an antipiracy measure than an anti-second hand one: microsofs last antipiracy devices, ap2.5 and xgd3, were hacked and useless within a week of them releasing.

Sounds quite interesting, but its a bit like a smartphone - i really doubt im going to use all of its features.
