Nice mate but if thats what your planning on using the car for you might aswell use some ta techinx coil overs or rokkors rather than meister r. I have the ta on my mazda and for how much the difference is between them and meisters or hsds you might aswell try them first? There will be loads for sale on nutz

Yeah it's pretty cool isn't it. It's changed a bit since, it now has different wheels, slightly lower, full custom exhaust and running megasquirt (badly at the moment), needs tuning a bit lol.

Oooh what wheels is he running now? I'm getting quite tempted by one of these in the next year or so seeing as I've just bought the R

Nope not yet, i'll whack one up when i get it home Sunday, after taking some of my own photos.
Currently looking in to the lowest way of mounting my seat. Think i'm going to get some Cr Low base mounts, then just side mount it to them. Should be about as low as i can get, i'm only 5'10 but i want to easily clear a cage with a helmet on!

He has Steffan RS staggered 10j and 9j, i also sold him my steffans so he has some spares. Also they're 14's so the ride has dropped quite dramatically and he pretty much just digs up the tarmac constantly lol.

Have a look on Vindi's thread on nutz Grant, there's a bulge of metal under the seat that restricts lowering the seat too much. I believe he chopped his out and welded in a new section to get his seat low enough.
^^^ that was the first time I've heard somebody say you should go for Ta Technix over Meisters lol.

Yeah my mate told me about that, i'm actually looking at buying these base mounts-
http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=121844
Then mounting the seat on sidemounts, that should be plenty low enough tbh.
And yeah that's 2 people in this thread who have told me to get shit coilovers now, Jay said it as well on page 1 lol.

Yeah i understand why people have suggested them, because they think i'm just gonna be skidding in to kerbs, when the reality is streeto in our area is dead now, plus i need a license for work. So this car is purely for drift days AND grip days. It needs to handle well and react predictably, fuck cheap coilovers, have always hated them.
Plus they're not THAT expensive for me
