magnex exhaust confusion
Seen a magnex catback going cheap. First off I have never nodded a car before so new to it all! So just want to know, can I just swap the standard back box for the magnex one? That's all I want to change is the back box. But as its a catback, will it be a direct fit, or will I have to make it fit? Going on an 03 vtr.

The Magnex backbox is not a universal fitting, you will either need to modify the OEM centerpipe or use the Magnex centerpipe. Make sure you check if its the center pipe for the Mk1 (Undercar cat) or the Mk2 (Cat in Mani)

In which case are there any back boxes that fit directly onto a standard centre section on a mark two?

sportex, piper, supersprint, ebay specials such as cybox and so on are direct fit. Its exhausts like magnex, saxsport that arnt and need their own mid section as it isnt a olive join.

Ok, and the most subtle sounding out of them? Its more for looks than noise. I spend a fair bit of time sat on the m4 so don't want bleeding ears! Thanks for the input by the way guys!

All are pretty much noisy mate. Magnex would be best suited i think.

So for ease, I am going for the sportex back box. So, 3" or 2"? Pros and cons of each? Really know sod all about exhausts and reading the sticky that goes on about back pressure I am now far more confused!

With a standard car etc, there is really no difference between 2" and 3" mate. Just go for what you preferre looks wise
