Haven't popped in here since the last couple of updates.
Looking good as always.
Just a note. I tried an OMP brace on my xsi and couldn't shut the bonnet correctly so your best bet would be a Sparco that sits behind the brake reservoir. Unless you want to raise your bonnet at the rear for the omp

Yeah i was thinking a sparco style one anyway.
But with mine being 2 stud strut tops, i'm struggling slightly to find a brace that i can drill out to suit. As the cross bar is welded right over the inner bolts. I have seen afew with enough room to drill out though
Thanks for the advice!

Here's a better pic of the rear
I was going to say, excuse the dirt as it is covered in a black dust, but it looks quite well in this photo!
Over the next week or two, I plan to:
- strip the rear out
- secure and fit battery box
- fit a switch for the fan
- fit momo steering wheel
- fit Compbrake quickshift
- .. List could go on!
Progress will be slow due to the daily saxo having an mot so need to fit a standard exhaust on that....
But anyway, here's the pic!
(I know it needs dewipering properly )

Updateings!
Today I decided to strip the rear out! removed rear seats and carpet to reveal all this dirt and mess!
It needs a really good clean and a lick of paint, so that's next on the 'to do' list
Also going to strip out some unwanted wiring
Here's some pics of today's antics!
Allthough it's filthy and badly scratched, the rear arches are in great condition!
Need to strip off all the sticky stuff off...
Pics
Also recieved the following parts...
-battery cut off switch
- joint box for battery cables in the engine bay
Also got a mocal catch tank on the way

Purchase update -
Recieved a carbon effect Mocal catch tank today
big thanks to andySAXO for this
Going to fabricate a bracket to fit it where the battery usually goes
Pics...
Probably won't get much progress done on this as I've got work to do in the saxo for the MOT.
Will keep this updated though

Short update!
Now i got the saxo through the MOT, i can now focus on the 106 again!
My progress started again tonight. Since i only had an hour or so to kill, i decided to sand down and remove the awful 'sticky stuff' off the arches
Can't wait to give it a lick of paint!
oh... i have also fitted the Compbrake quickshift.
Heres some pics of the rear
There is still loads i've got to do to this car! the list is never ending!
but next on the list....
- give boot area a lick of paint.
- remove front seats and carpet.
- strip out any unwanted wiring.
- relocate the battery to boot area.

Small update
Today I replaced my leaky sunroof with a nice and shiney one
It's a saxo one, so it's different to the old one.
It's tinted glass and looks more modern (no screw caps on glass either)
Won it off eBay for 99p bargain
The guy also gave me some standard front seats (to go in the saxo) and some front and rear saxo lights! Was chuffed
I have also...
- removed front seats
- dismantled the dash
- removed rear wiper motor ready to bung up
Also, after removing the seats, I have realised that the carpet is looking abit grubby and dated.
So I'm on the look out for a red rallye carpet
If you got one, let me know
Old sunroof out...
New sunroof in...
Enjoy!

Update
Today I fabricated and painted a bracket to mount the mocal catch tank on.
It's not perfect as I'm not engineer but it's strong and will do the job nicely!
Will hardly see it one fitted anyway
I also started on relocating the battery!
I've drilled into the cabin, and jointed the cables through in the bay with the joint box.
I will be tidying and tucking it away behind the catch tank
Random pic of how she's looking so far...
Also a pic of the blown tyre that came with the car!
Looks like it's been rubbing on the arch somehow.
I will be raising the rear in the future
Enjoy!
