Might see the odd track day, but it is my daily car at the end of the day so will not be getting abused
Where would you recommend the numberplate to go?
I quite like it how it is tbh..

Afew updates on this as I haven't been on here for a while ...
Main update!
- the car is now running properly! - no misfires or stalling anymore.
After changing nearly every sensor in the engine bay, it turns out that I had a crack in the exhaust manifold... Therefore the lambda was picking up oxygen.
Now running a standard manifold until I find another 421
Next..
- rallye fog inserts fitted .. Yellow fogs removed
- half cage fitted
Pics ...
Cracked 4-2-1
Cage
Afew pics from Bolton abbey meet (see the fog inserts too)
To do list:
- fit mesh behind holes in bumper, in holes in morrettes ETC...
- fit new alternator belt and new tensioner pulley
- fit baker bm silicone coolant hoses (ordered)
- new coolant
- replace the carbon induction with a BMC CDA filter (as the carbon one is melting from the manifold heat)
- maybe fit another slimline fan
Enjoy!

Gotta say I love the look of this car, definitely persuading me to get one.
Personally I would look for some smoked indicators and side repeaters but other than that it looks pretty sweet.
Give me a shout if you decide to sell it
Keep up the good work!

Thanks mate
Year, smoked indicators would look great, never really crossed my mind tbh!
I have a spare set laying around, I might have ago at smoking them somehow?
Side repeaters would be great too
Sorry, this won't be for sale... Not for a long while

MOT day tomorrow
Dreading it tbh....
On the plus side, I have ...
- replaced alternator belt and pulley. Now it doesn't squeak
- repaired washer bottle leak
I have purchased these quite cheaply, still in 2 minds whether to fit them or not..
Lockable aerocatches
Ohh.. And I forgot to post this,
The other week when I removed the carpet to bolt the cage mounts in, I found a message wrote on the floor from one of its previous owners
"Sorry this car is not a ringa. Rebuilt by rob buckland 9/ 2/ 93"
Haha!
Plans/ to do list (after sorting mot problems)
- maybe cut the aero catches in
- fit all baker bm hoses and new coolant
- fix central locking (doors aren't locking )
- source a 421 and heatwrap it
- fit my next big purchase!! (To be updated)
I will be updating this shortly ... They are sat in my room ready to be fitted after the MOT
No more clues

MOT update....
Was very shocked with the MOT tbh... Was expecting a pretty long list to be honest.
But no... Only 4 things....
- front brakes fluxuating excessively (new brake pads and discs)
- handbrake needs adjusting
- headlight beem too high
- horn not loud enough
So yeah pretty chuffed
So I have now treated her to these!!
- Cobra Imola 2 bucket seats
- sparco side mounts
- TRS 3" harnesses (1 x 5 point, 1 x 6 point :/ )
Once these are fitted, the recaros will be up for sale if anybody's interested???
Very nice, comfy seats!
Just fancied a change

Afew updates...
Front brakes have been replaced with new discs and pads for the MOT
I have also fitted a new horn as the old one wasn't loud enough
I have also recieved a pair of subframes needed to fit the bucket seats into the 106.
So they can be fit as soon as the MOT is over (hopefully next week, if not then it'll be in 3 weeks time after my holidays )
I have also bought some extra eyebolts and snap hooks for the harnesses.

I feckin' love S1's - I'd love a Rallye to either restore or just keep bloody clean or an XSi to 16v and abuse on track haha. Those morettes look utterly spot on as well - top find... they're rare as rocking horse shit these days!
Agreed they look better with smoked indicator units but still love this car. Bit of a strange/stupid question, but where did you get the mesh for the morettes from and how did you fix it in?
I've got a set of S2 units waiting to go on mine and wanted the mesh in the inner lights and (eventually) behind the bumper when I cut the holes in like yours.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot buddy!
Yeah, I will be tinting the indicators shortly.. So keep an eye out
The mesh finishes it off nicely iIMO. didn't really know where to buy it, so I had a look in halfords and I wasn't paying £25.00 for a sheet of mesh!!
So I went on eBay and bought a large sheet for £9.00 with free delivery!
Not the bestest of quality, but it certainly looks the part and does the job
When I cut it out, I left abit of overhang on the insides which I bonded onto the inside of the Morette masks

Had a quick look on eBay and the stuff I bought is no longer available which is a shame at least you found some though!
