Silver Saxo's
How do you guys get a really glossy look? Seems to be so much harder on a silver car compared to a black or blue...
This is the best I can get:
Thats after a full detail including:
Full wash and dry
Tar remover
Clay
Polish
Wax

That actually looks good mate. If it were a darker colour you would indeed see the shine.
With a silver car what's happening is the light reflecting from the smooth shiny polished surface of the lacquer top coat is being partially 'bleached' or 'lost' in amongst the reflection from the metallic particles of the colour coat or sub coat one layer beneath.
Not a lot you can do really apart from satisfy yourself that you've put the effort in and your car is technically shiny.
Jon.

You're better off not worrying about it.

That's pretty much the method I use mate but it depends what sort of polish and wax you use IMO - shitty old AutoGrim is going to get different results to that of better brands...

I've never had a problem with Icelandic tbh, not as shiny as black but still shined well imo.

Try a glaze between polish and wax for a better gloss.
