Default sticker bombing, the law?

With sticker bombing becoming so popular I thought it would be a good idea to gather as much info on were it is/isn't legal ob your car.

I've searched around on google and not found any definitive answers,
So any info you guys got please post it here.

Thanks.

Its 3 points and a £250 fine for sticker bombing but if your lucky you will get a dickhead awareness course.

Edit: sticker bombing was popular for 5 mins now its died off thank god.

It's 100% illegal in the UK now. Loads of people complained that it was 'off putting' and could confuse other road users (due to colours and what not) so if you look it up on the DirectGov website you should see the article, they call it 'decal plastering' though.

Shame really as it looks really fashionable.

I've seen cars with it all over there lights, windows, wheels, panels etc. I'm sure it must be illegal over lights and certain windows.

The only police that will stop you are the fashion police. Don't do it.

Obviously dont dot them on the windows where it would reduce your vision. Common sense rly.

The best advise for anyone tempted to sticker bomb
Put them over the windsheild blocking vision and drive at 90mph in to brick wall

Problem solved

My cars covered in red squares, cant say i've had a problem with any of my 8 pulls in 2 years and quite frankly cant be arsed searching direct.gov either.

I have however, decared decals on my car insurance. And been informed by insureres NOT to advertise performance parts my vehicle may have as these stickers make it more nickable.

Just make sure any sticker containing writing within is spelled correctly.Otherwise the spelling police will be onto you.
