imo, unless your rings are shagged and its chuffing like a train out the oilcap, i havent found any need myself, if your engine has been well looked after blowby should by minimal, so it shouldnt eat too much oil, on the 8v if you remove the baffle plate above the rockers mind you it will eat through a litre of oil a week, experience taught me that one...
i have an induction kit and i do check the inlet and throttle body now and again to make sure its all clean, and it usually is bar a bit of light soiling, and i just ran the pcv about 4 inches before the throttle body
