Default rear brake regulator

Hey gents i started the job of replacing the rear axle in my vtr. Trying to disconnect the rear break lines to drop the axle out and the nuts are turning under pressure but this pressure is starting to twist and kink the lines. Is their anything i can do to prevent any serious damage or is this going to be a replace the lines job??

Using a proper spanner? Whenever ive had siezed lines ive used gallons of plusgas and a decent fitting spanner, wiggling the union to try and unstick it

If it's proper stuck the lines to the unions, it'll be a new brake line and union job.

Unless it frees off.

Get a handful of unions.

M10x1 and M12x1

I think that's the only two sizes pretty standard.

Unbolt the regulator off the axle and leave it in place, bolt it onto the new axle

That will only work if the axles are the same height and spring rate.

Also, I wouldn't want to disturb that rusty old spring on there
