does this mean you dont need the key? and if someone breaks in can they just start it?

you turn the key to the ignition, and press the button, instead of turning the key all the way to 3 click where it returns to 2.

Still need the key to turn to ignition and also to dis-engage the immobiliser

does anyone know if there's anyone around Devon or Cornwall who's done this already and would be able to help me with it? I don't want to risk cocking it up cos I'm not really into electrics too much!

it's easy as anything to do mate, i followed pred's guide instead of the richbrook guide. so much easier. it took me 15 minutes this morning, but had to go to halfrauds and get some piggyback conenctors and a 10 amp fuse and fuse holder. try it yourself, you won't cock it up lol

only hard bit is finding the two wires to connect to. there should be a thick blue wire and a thick red wire running close together. well for me it was the blue one and a big brown wire which had 'cc01' printed on it

that is from the max power haynes isnt it, its total bollocks as the models wiring differs

i want to fit a switch panel, with ignition and start so i wont need a key. have anyone got a diagram for that, would i need the key for the steering lock?

you could take the steering lock out, you will also need to by pass the immobiliser

good guide bud just done mine with this tread thanks again, ive done it with button hidden in top of gear knob so bit of security too, kinda pointless really but i like it
