Default Quinton Stages

A few pics from yesterday, amazing how dusty it was considering we've had so much rain !

Foggy was going very well, we gave him a good wave on Halfway2

We were advised by our tyre sponsors to go with a wet setup!

Saxo sound OK from the outside? We spent a lot of the time waving, but that was because we had no intercom from stage 3!

That Suzuki of Woozie goes like FOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10th overall in a 1600!

May need some bigger Sax-p stickers soon ............ Simo??????

Check my thread for updates..... Cheers Ant.

Still just about get my head through the door!

Would love to get some more peeps off here to see the car in the flesh, as there could be a bit more interest in the car.....

good effort Ant, might want to re-think your shutter speeds though mate.

Cheers Dave. I'm getting there but still alot of room from improvement

What speed do reckon? I was thinking more about ISO's and aperture settings after your comments on my Oulton Park pics

I think 1/250 and above might have been a little better

The light was difficult to shoot in, especially with all the shadows from the trees and some heavy cloud cover at times

Aim for something around 1/320s or even up to 1/500s for fast moving head on or 3/4 shots. Somewhere around f5.6-f7.1 should get you your whole car sharp on a 3/4 shot.

ISO200 should give you that, depends how dark it is in the stage.

I'd not go below 320 for head on if I wanted keepers.

Am not familiar with a 1-Series, have you got a focus button set and then hit the shutter when you want? Or do you use half pressed for focus? That might help in tricky lighting...
