Something simple and effective then Ad's?
Just get the belt done when the cams arrive, were you planning on anything else with the cams when they got fitted?
Id probably try and avoid using it so much until its done just as a precaution.

It's so simple to pull the cambelt cover to one side, so you can peak at the belt. That'll soon tell you if it needs changing...

thanks man, it's a VTS interior... I'd love a GTi interior but I'd always be paranoid about increasing the wear on it, whereas the VTS interior seems to just be rugged as they come and can replace them easily

replace belt and lob cams in at the same time... I didn't want to have the cams fitted if the car was going to remain unmapped but... sod it!

With the cams I'd like to fit the predator 3-plug when it arrives - and then the AT throttle bodies towards the end of the year
yeah, I'm sure I read a report by the Citroen dealership I sent the car to to have a mechanic go over it and check for probs and I'm sure he wrote that he believed the cam belt was replaced around 45k miles... but can't find the paper.
I'm not chancing it anyway, I've been driving like a granny, I mean SERIOUS granny driving...
