Hackers are already working on it but you'll need to be jailbroken and as of yet, they're not 100% sure it can be done.

I don't think I would use siri the only thing I would benefit from was a better camera but I'm not that fussed on that anyway

Siri is also a BETA and not full, (states so on the apple site)
And if you look at apples trend over the last so many years u can pretty much predict that the iPhone 5 will be out next July time!

As I still have the 3gs and can upgrade on the 20th of this month then I will be going for the 4s.
Although I can see Apple bringing out the 5 mid next year! It's what they do

If you look at their product release trend then you'll notice that each product has a cycle of ~1 year, which means it'll be september/October next year that the next one gets announced.

My opinion is that the 4s is an interim product because the 5 isn't quite ready.
Don't think it will be another year before the 5 sees a launch simply because of the competition

£700 + insurance then living with the fear of breaking/damaging it etc... I'd buy a brick phone and a fat laptop for that. Oh wait actually I did.

£700 is for the top spec 64bg phone remember. Even myself (a iPhone fan boy), wouldn't pay that much for a phone!!
Im on a monthly contract and get the phone for free

correction: get the (not highest spec)phone free at first and then pay 45 a month for 24 months = £1080 (not including accessories and apps). I could buy a macbook pro + any regular phone for that.

Yes, When you say it like that then ot does sound bad and depresses me a little.
Although...
£1080 for 24 months
Minus the Phone (£500) = £580
Diveded by 24 months = £24.17
And tbh, I use alot more than £24.17 a month on calls, texts and data.
So in my eyes, its a good deal

Seen a picture of one and read about them. They are slimer and I think 1 cm wider than a 4.

Contract is ended on my 4 now. Was 235 for the phone and 35 a month for 12 months. 750 mins, unlimited texts and data
I've now reduced the tarrif on a monthly rolling contract and kept my iPhone 4

Ahh right I understand
I cant afford to pay that much upfront for the phone.

I sent my old 3GS back to mazuma and got 220 for it which paid for the 4. I'll probably do the same with my 4 to pay for a 5

in my eyes, that's the price for a macbook pro + phone I top up every 2 months or so. All the people I see around me having smart phones and unlimited credit use it to send each other texts such as "cunt" or "oi", or even "oi you cunt". Hence why I haven't figured out how I would need something like that.
About your £24.17 a month. It costs your phone company about £0.02417 to provide you with that service . Then they don't pay Apple £500 per phone
I still don't get why these things cost more than a laptop while doing less.
