remember me saying its not feeling quick yesterday... I found the passenger caliper was binding. turns out the vtr hub I converted had some surface rust on the hub face... making the disc offset a bit. combined with new discs and pads it was rubbing lol. all sorted now.
however the abs and handbrake lights were on along with no rev dial.
upon inspection I found a wiring harness rubbing on the inner wing.
I found two wires that had rubbed, gone blue and the wire was black inside for about 16" down to the engine multiplug in the bay.
showing it repaired and tidied up...
after driving the car I am no better off
andy is going to dial in tomorrow and take a look in the ecu to see if the rev dial has been turned off (was fine the last time I drove it and ive not been in the ecu myself).

It's almost definitely the wiring for the rev counter. Abs should be wiring but could easily be a sensor that's shit itself too
Car's looking really tidy there btw Stew

Haha I know that feeling mate, my own internal wiring was "Barry boy" at best for last summer hence changing it over winter. I drove back from Sandys with no speedo and no dash lights at all. I want to emphasise this was all my own wrong doing, nothing to do with Sandy

Removed the engine loom repaired one wire from ecu to fuel relay and found crank sensor almost broken where the wire joins the plug, replaced that... tidied up the connector on the wide band and still no joy with it.
Im pretty sure its not the engine loom now.

I have changed the dials for another set and am still in the same boat. All day today searching and no joy.

Only thing you can do is find the Rev wires from the dials and trace it back towards the engine I reckon mate

Fuse/relay?
You got a Haynes? Wiring diagram is all it's good for anyway.

ABS wiring diagram isnt in the Haynes iirc, its on of the ones you have to ask Citroen for. Mine wasn't working before, turns out it had been rewired wrong.

The tacho is... In basic form. The fuses and relays with their number and locations is half useful.
Judging by the diagram, it's unlikely be anything close to the cluster or fuse/relay related. It shares and earth with the speedo and a fuse (passenger fusebox) and another (engine fusebox) and a single connection to the ecu.
My poor memory and general lack of knowledge of cars might not assist here but did you recently replace an abs sensor? The diagram omits how the car reads speed info - maybe this is from the abs? Is that sensor ok?
I probably imagined that you changed one, so apologies in advance.
