Right almost got enough money for this little lot now.
Just wondering do I really need 2 subs or is one ok? I need quite a bit of boot space you see.
Probably going with this

1 is fine, and will be more than enough to make the mirrors shake and the boot rattle!
In fact, 1 good, well setup sub is better than 2 imo!

Nice to here as I was thinking for just getting comps and head unit first then add the other bits later.
Is it worth amping the Comps from the start? or shall I just wait until I can afford the other stuff.

Definitely amp them mate! It makes the world of difference!
If you can afford one of these then it will sound rather nice off that amp
JBL P-1222
If thats a little steep, then the SPL-Dynamics V300D4 is very good.
Or if that is still too expensive then this JBL 1214 will run nicely off that amp.
The choice is yours...

Cheers for your help mate I'll try and get the little 2 channel JBL one then to run the Comps.
So my set up will probably be Headunit,Comps,Amp to power comps to start with.
What about an enclosure for the Sub? Im not good at D.I.Y

Thats the best place to start tbh! Get the front end sorted first!
With regards to enclosure, this CAD slot ported enclosure would be pretty good, and is made by a company called Bass Factory UK (BFUK), who are pro's at this kind of thing and know exactly what they are doing.
You could always make you're own for about £10 though...?

I would but I'm piss poor at D.I.Y.
Is the slightly cheaper one no good then?

Now that box is "sealed", where the other is "ported".
Sealed is a good option if you dont want to take up as much boot space and want a tighter punchier response.
Ported gives you a higher output (louder) and very wobbly bass which is often felt more than heard! Lol!
