What, disconnect the tweeter part of the 6x9 and reconnect it to the crossover? Probably possible but not worth it.

how? theres only 1 set of terminals on a set of 6x9s
to run a set off a crossover youd need 2 sets of terminals
1 to run the mids, and 1 to run the highs
a coaxial speaker seperates the freqs itself as a tweeter obv cant handle mids, and mid cant play highs.. its just not as effective as freqs actually being seperated by a crossover

you mean actually take the tweeter away from the woofer leaving a hole in the speaker?
or just taking the wires away? because theres not seperate wires from woofer & tweeter, i have a set of coaxial speakers in my hand, and cant see 2 sets of wires for both drivers

I was thinking
Cut the copper lines from the tweeter part and connect them up to the cross over that way. It would be a complete waste of time and would sound and look worse then if left standard. I have no idea how the frequencies are filtered on a coaxial unit such as this, with inline resistors or something I assume.
As I said, probably possible but not worth the time or effort.

ahh makes more sence now, i thought that was the idea, but couldnt see a second set of wires on any of the coax i have lying around
as said though, pointless, for several reasons
