Default helpp, sub repair

got a small rip on my sub, can i get it profesonally repaired? ill get a pic in a sec to sho you were it is


rite my sub is the same as this, this one appeares to have a small rip in the same place, mine started off like that but i think someone tryed to pull it off n its riped all way through, its the bit just insed of the crome bit, can it be repaired and is it safe to use untill i get it done?

it depends on how big the rip is so a closer up picture would be helpful but it doesnt look too bad, use a flexible glue like PVA to stick it back together. but like i said it doesnt look too bad, a rip in the surround isnt as bad as a rip in the cone

You could always take it to an audio shop and see what they say... but the problem with professionally repairing subs is that it often costs more than its worth.

as said above, could cost more than its worth... time for a new sub possibly ... not too bad as you can pick them up for 30 bucks.

The foam surround going around the outside of the subwoofer? These can be purchased from the internet, the old one would need removing with a blade and silicone the new one in place.

cheers ppl, ill get a close up pic, and i dont really fancy removeing foam surrond amd replaceing it lol, is it hard?
