Default Rear speakers for mid?

Hey, I have some 13cm edge component speakers in the front with a 10 inch edge sub in the boot. It sounds great but the original rear speakers peek and distort. I was wondering if it's worth replacing these as I also want to split the bass, treb and mid between the three sets!

My brother use to have 6x9s but I don't want to cut up the back shelf, will 10cm speakers provide the middle I need?

Ideas?

To be honest, you'd probably be better off upgrading your front speakers or amping them up.

I replaced them with components, it's not a great deal of effort.

As above though really, edge isn't renowned for quality

Don't go for 6 x 9s there shit
