my mates vtr got broken into the other day the smashed a screwdriver down the side of the lock and unlocked it that way since then his centrel locking does not work he has to each door and boot with the key

Please explain more, your description doesn't make much sense and all i can gather from what you are saying is how it happened but not what your issue is now? is the lock broke, can he only use the key now any pics of the damage done so we can see exactly what has happened. From that we can then tell you what has happened and how to amend it.
