Most likely cause would be the rubber bootlid seal,or a hole in the rear window seal.

I had water in my boot which was coming from the rear pamel. there are 2 large metal circles on each side about the size of a 2p piece which i think the rear bumper mounts to. I put a rag under each and looked for leaks after it rained. I used plenty of PU adhesive and this has stopped the leak. Hope this helps.

Boot seal usually. Give it a pull and it comes off. Clean all the muck etc. from behind it and refit - usually does the trick.

I found my boot lock had seized, so my boot wouldnt fully close :/ and that was letting water in.
cleaned it up abit, key still wont turn in it but it will shut now and central locking works so close enough

Take out your parcel shelf put the rear seats down sit in the boot while someone sprays water over the bootlid, you`ll soon see where the water is getting in.

I know this thread is well old. But I have a leak in my boot as well. Pissing down today, so sat in the boot and watched to see where water was coming in...... Found where it was and recorded short video.
Any ideas how to fix the leak?
See video via this link --->

Check your rubber boot seal, could also be the pipe leaking for the rear washer jet.

I de-wipered it on the rear. No leaks anywhere else other than drivers side rear arch. Must be coming in from a tiny gap on outside. Once it's dry in a few days i'll seal it. For now towels to soak water up from gap coming in.

Did you bung up the washer pipe for the rear? Or a rust hole in the inner arch could cause water to come in.

How do you locate them?

When I de-wipered my saxo, got a bolt the correct size. Then smeared silicone around the thread & gently wound it into the pipe. The rust hole ,open the boot & spray hose around the inner winner wing whilst someone looks in the boot. You'll will need to strip the lining out of the way first.

Yeah when I de-wipered mine I put a rubber plug in the hole in the glass where wiper was. I smeared it in silicone as well. No leaks there.
I believe my leak is via the rear wing. I'll look for that rust hole on the rear once I pull lining away. Thanks for the info.
