Default Have become unfit?

I seem to have become very unfit, i cant even run down the street anymore without becoming out of breath, i used to be able to runs for a good half a mile before showing any signs of wanting to stop.

Also when i run, my joints are like creaky if you get what i mean, they feel like there not as good as they where.

I am not doing as much exercise and i am also eating a lot of junk food. Also stopped going to gym a while back.

I really need to get fit again by August.

Any help/Sugggestions of what i can do will be fantastic.

Cod liver oil to lube up your joints, either that or knock back some CV joint grease.. Run as far as you possibly can and walk home. No other way but hard work I'm afraid.

I feel I am in a similar possition since I started working from home I dont even have to leave the house.

Need to get back in shape but cant afford the gym tbh

Thinking of making a program of running cycling swimming and healthy food as I tend to eat when Im bored

The thing is though, i can eat as much as i want, and never put on any weight at all. And i eat an awful lot.

I tried today to not eat for once, and just drink water. But by midday i have started eating. I live literally 2 mins from a big park, will have to start going for a run.

Also the thing that stops me from running before breathlessnes is the fact my legs and joints hurt? Also i used to be able to run very fast, but cant know, and if i try it feels like something to do with my legs are holding me back.

It is because i have been eating crap + hardly leaving the house.

Exactly, i used to play football almost every day, and be extremely active. Just sit in on sax-p now. Am trying to get back out and play footie though.

Yeah biking, cross training, swimming are all lower impact that running.. Do you get pains becuase you have bad shoes to run in? Or do you just need to harden up a bit?

Me? no my knees seem to be a bit stiff when running, and seem to hold me back, then i become breathless after about 500 yards.

well, iv never been a one for fitness, so when i joined the gym and hada one2one with a trainer, 10mins on the cross trainer nearly killed me!!! the sweat that came oot of iz an the breathlessness was unbearable!!!
but sticking to her routine, of 5mins treadmill, 10mins cross trainer, and 20mins on the bike, after about a week, my body started to handle better.
my breathing still hurt, but i kept going and could last longer on the cross trainer. after 2 weeks, 40mins on the cross trainer was like a walk in the park!
just push yourself that little bit further each time you exercise, and you get stronger, lungs and legs will start to just go with the flow, rather then you feeling you NEED to stop!!! x

Grrr yeah im the same!
Lost my job and dropped out of college and got fat,
had to lose a stone to get in shape to do promo for car shows this summer.
What i found to work the best is simply changing your diet.
Find out what healthy foods you like and stick to healthier eating.
Even without exercise I continued to lose weight and save money just by not living out of a chipper or chinese takeaway.
When I did exercise I used to go for a jog then when I got home worked on one part of my body every day. eg after a jog one day work on my stomach, after a jog the next day work on my arms, etc

im at college doing sprots and fitness and off to univeristy for fitness in september
before you go gym
you have to get your diet back on track
no more junk food
and food high in protein needed
instead of a dairy milk have a banana
and never miss breakfast. porridge or omelette are ideal
and not eating after 8 at night is also a good tip
