Classic class is an open weight class mate aslong as you are within the restriction for your own height.
Basically if you take your height in cms and minus 100 this must be your weight in kg with a small allowance.
I am 174cm tall so minus 100 = 74kg with a 4kg allowance, so i can be upto 78kg maximum.
There are different allowances for different heights of competitor but maximum is 6kg i believe.
Eventually there will be a tall and short class which been 5'7" i will be in the short class.
At the moment classic class competitors tend to be all grouped together.

Im 13 weeks out.
Static carbs at the moment but i will possibly be carb cycling from 8 - 6 weeks out depending on how things go.
Im only doing a base level of 20 minutes cardio four times a week at the minute but this will increase as needed.
Im currently sitting at around 13st 2lbs and need to get down to around 11st 8lb to make weight.
I have dieted twice before so know what to expect which is a good and bad thing tbh.
No recent pics unfortunately but will post some up just before show day for all to see.

Im 5'7" and natty.
Not really into the whole gear thing and it is frowned upon in the classic class anyway, i have been training seriously for two years and have gained alot of muscle with just a good diet and solid training.
When i started training i was 10st 3lbs with around 12% bodyfat, i had dieted down from 14st of pure lard and hit a good rebound when i started training and gained alot of muscle in a short period of time.
I have gained around 2 stone of muscle in the two years i have been training.
I have had a dig around for some pics for you but only ones i have are from my holiday last year and im sure you don't want to see me bouncing around on a see-saw with my 3 year old.
If any of you are going to the leeds show make sure you give me a big cheer, lol.

Thanks mate.
Tbh classic class is a far cry from some of the open classes and with weight restrictions in place you are probably closer than you think.
Heres a pic of the top few classic competitors from Leeds last year, i was due to compete but had some family problems a fortnight out from the show.

I find it hard to believe you have put on 2 stone of muscle in 2 years. From what my mate who competes says (watched him last year at leeds). He says your doing good if you put on a pound in one year. But apart from that good luck

Yeh dry white wine with your meals. Its a science. I read a book on preparing for a show, my head was boggled.

Forgot to ask you whats your mates name?
If it took a year to gain a pound of muscle pretty much all competetive and pro bodybuilders would be geriatrics, lol.
Scientific evidence suggests that upto 12lbs per year is possible for an average natural trainer, would you like me to link you to some studies?
