Default laptop help calling all whizz kidz

hello people i have a hewlett packard laptop, the thingdidnt come with any cd rom's or nothing like that, it was all geared up ready to go from pc world and is running on windows xp. anyone bless me with a clue on how and if i can reformat it to its original state with windows installed.

You can reinstall windows on it by buying a copy of XP off the internet, I think overclockers.co.uk do them or buy getting a copy from another place on the internet

Then once you've formatted it, download drivers for the laptop form hewlett packard's site.

if it has the product key under the laptop (witch it should) use A FRIENDS xp disc??

JOB DONE.. then install the hp drivers from the web.
if you laptop is working.. download and burn off the hp drivers before you nuke the op sys.

should have got drivers when you bought it tbh, get in touch with pc world, although xp isnt the hardest thing to format

you should have a partition for recovery already on the laptop hard disc and should be an option through HP recovery manager to create recovery discs

if its bought recently from pc world there may be a thing on the desktop called tech guys or an icon that looks like a CD if you have this click it and it will take you through step by step on how to create a set of recovery disks
