Great build what are your gear ratios,I'm interested as I just fit a 4.54 FD in my vts box and didn't try it yet.
Your running nice power there at 160 mark I need to get mine mapped to try get to 150.
Your car looks great well done👍👍

Thanks mate.

We are using a standard S1 Rallye gearbox with the standard 4.54 final drive.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but most (if not all) MA gearboxes use the same gear ratios, just different final drives.

Putting a 4.54 final drive in a VTS box will mean you will have the same as what we have.

The rallye and vts have slightly different ratios but both have sports clusters, the 1.1 and Vtr,s are not so close ratio.
I'm using a 1.1 box at the moment it has a 4.2 FD but the ratios are not great so I'm hoping the vts with 4.54 will be as good as yours.
The Rallye box is like hens teeth here in Ireland just can't be got.

That's my ratios so I'd say yours are much the same👍

There really is noting in it looking at that once they have the same FD.

It's been a while, time for another update I think.

Firstly, a few pics from the first trackday at blyton...

This was an absolute treat....

My sisters boyfriend borrowed it from work for the day, meant we had somewhere warm to sit and a constant supply of tea and bacon sandwiches all day.

Next job on the car was a little unplanned. A few weeks after blyton, my dad noticed a small puddle of coolant in the drivers footwell which was coming from the heater. Rather than replace the matrix, we decided to remove the whole system because it is a bit of a big job (we have to remove the front section of cage to get the dash out).

Firstly I whipped up a joiner/restrictor for the heater pipes on the lathe...

Then we set about removing everything....

I made up a small carbon blank to cover the hole that was left in the bulkhead...

We are hoping that some rainex will keep the windscreen clear if it's wet on a trackday.

Next up, we got the OZ wheels powder coated black and got the R888R's fitted...

Then gave them a try on the car...

Look much better than the white speedlines and they'll also require less cleaning.

The next update includes this little lot...

I'll upload some more pics onto photobucket and do another update.

What was in the box....

Two OMP HTE-R fibreglass bucket seats.

We decided to upgrade the old Sparco seats with something a little more supportive.

After cutting out the old seat rails and welding in new mounts that sat a bit lower and further back, we ended up with this....

As you can imagine, they feel amazing.

That's its for now.

Got a few little jobs to do before our next trackday at Cadwell on 22nd May.

Hahaha, that made me laugh.

Pretty easy to make when you've got access to a laithe, still took me longer than I'd care to admit for something so simple.

After relocating the battery from behind the passenger seat, we could get it bolted in and fit the door bars. It's quite tight but they both just fit......

Little bit of an update...

We invested in a quaife quick rack as we weren't happy with the amount of input need to steer the car at Blyton...

All assembled...

I also tidied up the grill, badge and mirror caps....

We also got the OMP intercom fitted as all three of us now have helmets with intercom installed....

A few pictures out in the daylight of the new seats and the car just before we went to Cadwell last weekend....

I'll get some pics and vids uploaded from Cadwell asap.

Few pictures from Cadwell...

Awesome day, great to be back at Cadwell.

I took the day off after the trackday so I could clean the car, get it back up on its axle stands and give it the once over.

After a wash...

After taking the wheels off I quickly noticed a small amount of CV grease on the passenger side suspension. Upon closer inspection I found this...

Looks to have been rubbing on the strut...

These shafts came with a 2 year warranty so I emailed J&R and they are going to send us a smaller boot kit.

The car covered 200 miles at Cadwell and other than that, the car was fine.

Small update, not really car related but I decided to treat myself to one of these...

It's the 2016 Schroth Supersport XLT with is the entry level HANS device from Schroth.

Was only £240 delivered which isn't a lot considering we've got thousands of pounds invested in a cage, seats, harnesses and helmets.

Purchased from these guys...

https://www.hedtec.co.uk/products/ha...oth-20-degree/

Great service, advice and fast delivery.

Also got a new bag to fit it all in...

Next weekend the Saxo is booked in to have a centre silencer welded in. After it measured 104db at Cadwell we decided we had better do something about it.

Few laps from Cadwell...

Not the best laps and the camera location is far from ideal but you get the idea
