Iphone Search Facility

Bit of a shot in the dark here but does anybody know how to use the search facility on the iphone 4? it may be the same as previous iphones aswel

Im looking for a text i sent about 3 months ago, i know who it was to but it could be one of about 400 texts... is there a quick and easy way to find the text without reading through them all?

when i put part of the text that i remeber into the search bar on the home page it doesnt bring anything up - perhaps it doesnt look that far back

If the text exists on the phone it is there you just aren't searching for something quite right. The spelling would need to be identical for it to show a result so if you are inputting a sentance try removing words

so if i go back 3 months and find a text, then copy some of a sentence into the search box it should bring it up, correct? well mine doesnt lol

There is a search box at the top of the message screen (where you can select conversations) which you can use to search through old texts.

just search for a word that you know is in the text and it'll work mate
