**SAXP GT5 Nurburgring challenge**

Right just for a bit of fun lets see who can get the best times

Rules;

-one lap of the ring in Peugeot 106 S16 '03 (gti for us brits)

-Nurburgring Nordschleife track only

-must provide a screenshot showing time for proof with car name in screen

-to make things easy and stop people cheating car can be fully modded so everyone is equal

-anything within setup can be changed to suit driver, including driver aids

-rolling starts are allowed to make it easier using practice mode etc

i will update this post at the top with the a leaderboard of top three lap times

i only have a rallye and 205 turbo

if only i had a playstation 3, i has GT4 on the PS2, and rape it around the nurburg in about 8 mins or so with a big fat turbo on it

i have earned some money for the sake of this thread and i have fully tuned my 106 and have:

282bhp/7900rpm
28kgfm/6400rpm
854kg
car done 16,885.6 miles though

thats what figure we should all be expecting approx guys

i will hopefully have a go tomorrow, my fiancee said she may have a go too so i will post up her time

Wouldn't it be fairer if the car's were completely the same?

If one person has a modified pug pushing 200bhp+ and another has the standard 120ish sureley it would be an unfair challenge?

May aswell make it "how fast can you make your peugeot" in that case.

i think if we state the bhp to compare speeds aswell, also can we use any tires?

i completely agree but the thing is you are bound to get people modding theres and not telling and giving them an unfair advantage. hence i said if we all mod it fully then we will all have the exact same cars and no one can cheat

also if it was standard there would be very few adjustments to make to the car

Done three laps in the 106, this was my best out of the three. sorry john





If anyone is interested i will post up my setup when i have one that i am happy with as its a little tricky currently. I by no means did a perfect lap and this lap time has tonnes of scope for improvemment.
