Default VTS electrical issues

Hi all, I have just bought myself a mk2 vts as a project. Essentially it’s been messed about with and bodged into a make shift track car but it was solid underneath, runs well and was cheap enough for me to get! I’m going to put it back to vaguely standard condition, mainly inside.

Since I have had it though I’ve got a problem with the key/keys/immobiliser/ignition. I’ve read through a lot of threads on here regarding the immobiliser fault and none of them seem to cover my particular circumstance. I was given 1 key for the locks and 3 for the ignition. It seems that randomly using any of the ign keys the immobiliser light will flash constantly. Not every time but most times. At this point the fuel pump will still run and the engine will turn and fire. On the face of it there isn’t a problem other than the light flashing, but I’m keen to stop that! Any ideas?

I was also stood by it atleast two or three minutes after taking the keys out of the ignition and the fuel pump would still be priming now and then. Strange right?

I also have absolutely no idea if any of the related components (or any component in the whole car) are OE or have been robbed from donors at some point in its life.

Any help would be appreciated.

Steve.

I also can’t get Snap on Solus to communicate which is highly frustrating

Yeah it probably won't communicate because if the engine loom has been spliced the K line from the OBD socket won't be connected to the ECU.

I think the immobiliser has probably been disconnected too.

also if the fuel pump is randomly priming the fuel relay is still getting power, maybe a faulty ignition switch?

Autodata wiringn diagram is a bit rubbish, do you know the pin out on the ecu for this k line?

The black immobiliser box is plugged in.

Mine is single plug. Autodata shows only two wires from ecu to obd port.
