personal information on pc
sorry guys basic problem but not up to much on computer workings!
got a new computer at work one of the lads wants the old one
I don't want anything for it so let him have it for free
he says that for about £35 he can get a new hard drive he got windows 7 program to go on it
any way this is what I want to know, if he gives me the old hard drive that's in it now back, will the computer then not have any information that is work or personal left on it for anyone to use or see?

Correct....its the HD that stores all the data and so if you get the old one you have no problems.
Ive just thrown all our old work PC's away but the first thinh i did was remove the HD's.....just incase.

if you dont want to use the HDD again, and want to stop any information being seen, take it out of the PC, and drill holes in it
