Pioneer DDJ-T1
Anyone have any experience of this unit?
I've returned to DJing with my CDJ1000IIs and am instantly hindered by the amount of boxes I'm taking out with me - discs, decks, mixer etc
I like the look of this as it seems quite affordable and very compact but am worried that the true ecxperience of mixing like on the 1000s will be missing.
Also, someone please give me a consise run down of what exactly TRAKTOR is that I will need for the laptop,
Also, should the laptop fail for any reason, how compatible is the T1 with external sources?
Cheers y'all

Take it nobody has used/seen this in use?
Ok, does anyone know what the difference between the S1 and T1 are apart from Serato and TRAKTOR?
From experience, what has the easiest/user friendly userface?

google around, find the specs:
Input terminals: MIC x 1 (1/4 inch PHONE), AUX x 1 (RCA)
aka no inputs
buy a mac.

Why do you say buy a mac? I've known many people with Macbooks that have had them in for servicing due to different faults. I've never had a problem with any Windows laptop I've owned
Also, the question was which has the most user friendly interface? I am quite capable of learning pretty much anything, but this will be someone that's only ever DJ'd using vinyl, CDJ and traditional mixer, and someone that is possibly the most computer illiterate you'll ever come across, so going from CDJ to a laptop will be a big move for me.
What experience do you have of either Serato or TRAKTOR to give me a decent insight?

Another lovely post from Manu, such a sarcastic negative person...you have serious underlying issues if you always behave like this

Another lovely post from Mr. D
He asked about inputs in case the laptop crashes. There is one input, which is quite useless for DJing. But the needs for 2 inputs minimum while DJing is probably beyond your grasp. now, traktor or SSL. Both are top software, all is needed is to pick one and learn it. Please do kindly fuck off.

interface: look at traktor kontrol s4 or xone 4D. Saying buy a mac as they are stable, and don't lose 20% of CPU by not needing a virus protection software, etc.
Or you could get yourself a pair of CDJ 400s, they have native control for SSL and traktor, read flash drives and CDs. If you computer fails, you can always fall back on that.
Now, that pioneer controller is useless if you plan on recording your mixes, as it run 2 outputs from the same master, and no booth. As in, you can't change your volume on your speakers while recording or you will fuck it all up. Same as that djm 400 that came out a little while ago, bedroom gear.

I used to DJ myself you clown, i sold them about 2 years ago as i had no time to play them due to working long hours and was working away 6 days a week
On behalf of saxo180 i'd like to thank you for a more informed answer instead of the previous patronising dross
