Only Premium Members Can negative Rep

however, to give the red blob of doom, you have to be preimum.


I think if you are going to pay, you might as well feel you are doing more for the community and that you have more power.

But if a normal member has a genuine reason for a negative rep or complaint then they won't be able to give it because they won't have the option. This therefore won't help the community better surely?

EDIT: as long as people don't abuse it then i see no reason to change the rules

Some people with hardly any posts do it though tbh... So do ones with very few posts and just throw neg rep round when its not needed.

thats what the report button is for.

if you get negative rep, some one who has given it out has more to lose (premium membership) than these newbies that sign up, cause shit then just sign up again.

I don't agree. I feel there are certain priveledges premium members should be allowed, for example to post items for sale, but rep is neither here nor there

Well i myself have been bad repped for no reason. This was by someone who judged my life style (not going to say what they called me - it wasn't nice at all) rather than my personality or car.

These are the people who shouldn't be able to Neg rep.

Rep is only a collection of pixels - it shouldn't matter to a well adjusted adult, although I'm sure that I'm not alone in "just checking".

I give out very little rep, and always, good or bad sign it. I wonder how much neg rep would be given if it had to have a name appended?

Just letting Premium members give neg rep would only lead to a divisiveness - an "us and them" mentality, the site is meant to be an all-inclusive community - not one where an elite has a monopoly on criticism. Anyone remember "Animal Farm?"
