Pictures in FS threads as a requirement - Saxperience

As title says, make it a requirement for people to have pictures of the items for sale in for the sale threads.

Getting sick of having to ask people for pictures all the time, it's not like it's hard in this age of digi cameras and mobile phones...

Personally, I won't buy anything until I've seen pictures of the item in question and alot of other people are the same.

Good, clear pics usually = a faster sale.

EDIT: I'm admin over on a water cooling forum and we brought in the same rule, it helps prevent disputes relating to the condition of the item and it also prooves the seller actually has the item ready to go.
Took a few days / weeks for people to eventually realise that no pictures = no thread but now it works great.

I agree to a certain extent.

However the other day someone was buying stickers and i had some. I only wanted £2.50 and he wanted pictures.

For £2.50 i cba moving off my computer chair =\

All usual items should have pictures imo

I agree with this to an extent and provide pictures myself when selling something but there are some people who wouldn't know how to do it.

I think that if someone is interested in an item then they will buy it. There are too many window shoppers and time wasters who just want pics to look at.

Plus if it became a 'rule' the amount of adverts on here may decline as a result.

Photobucket, ImageShack, Flickr are all easy as pie to use though.
If someone can enter their details to join a forum then they can do the same to an image hosting site.

I disagree, like I said previously, I wouldn't buy anything of value without seeing pictures first unless I knew the person well enough to trust them on it.

Fair point on the stickers, as hypocritical as it sounds i'm inclined to agree with you.

Anyway, thats my thoughts and I'm just going off how we run things on a different forum, whether or not it works for SaxP remains to be seen.

aggree with marcus000 100% on this,should be a rule tbh sick of asking for pics, if you cant upload a pic then your to stupid to post an itam

say your selling 20 items, 20 pics is going to slow up peoples interwebz

pics should be given on request

up to the seller

more importantly, hard for a mod to govern, flicking through every thread to find pics

That picture is 109kb, hardly a bandwidth killer, 20 photos = just over 2mb.
Besides, whats to stop people putting several items in one photo.

Pics should be forced into the first post so you can just open a thread and see them if you dont have pics ready wait till you do before you post the item as for sale

I've not bought anything i've not seen pics of, including a few items over a tenner... kinda reassuring.

Too many people get scammed/bumped out of their hard earned cash on this site. Mandatory pics would be a great way to cut that down -not fool proof mind u, but would reduce it a little.
