Default Hex fixture on rear calipers?

Hi all,
I've searched the forums but cannot find an answer to my question. I need to replace the drivers rear calipers on my vtr but cannot for the life of me work out how to remove the hex fixture to fully remove the calipers from the handbrake cable. Can anyone help?

Kind regards

Neil

Did you try punch and hammer and tap it out?

slacken off cable adjuster ,to start with --lever h/brake cable lever on caliper forward +slip out cable nipple
wiggle outer cable till it comes out of caliper .
do not punch with drift you will just make the end bigger and it won,t come out then

unbolt caliper from hub --don,t try to split caliper --the 5 sided hex fixings are meant to give you that clue --as thats a very special type

on rebuild h/brake lever MUST always be back against its stop when cable is adjusted --do not over adjust cable as it will stop auto adjusted inside caliper from working

min h/brake notchs is 5 to fully locked --any less and you stand a chance of cable pulling brake on when car is loaded or self adjuster not working

citroen manual says 7 notchs --thats too much
