Me being on dial up really gets hit by all these.
How can we make something so people can put photos in to it and hey presto you get a site friendly picture back. Is it possible??
or is there a how to guide somewhere?

yeah thanks guys.
Have just checked the faq's and there is good info about acyually putting things on to the site, jsut not about how to create the right sized things.
this is what i found out when asking people to do stuff for me, they'll do it easily, but if i want to do stuff myself they never part with information. I want to knwo how to, and to what size, to make avatars and pics look good and easy to access by all.
p.s. all my money is going towards getting a house (that's what i tell the gfriend anyway)

the limit for avatars/sigs should be alright for those on D/U internet connections.
If unhappy with the time it takes yours to load Oz, I just check the size of the persons avi, and remove it if need be.

Everyone should have BB by now, it's almost as cheap as dial-up!

i have dial up.... well ntl broadband to be exact but it's practically the same speed!
i use my account on piczo to resize these days and imageshack for general uploading...
it is annoying when it takes for ever to load... just bored me... i once too 7 minutes on my computers clock to load a page in general chat! because of 4 or 5 sigs in there being a tad too big...
