im big time 360 and forza all the way but i cant help thinking for gt5 to even still now keep the game under wraps its going to end 2 ways either they really are creating a masterpeace thats going to tear forza 3 to pieces and for that theyve got there work cut out if they intend to just let you change the alloys and keep it like gt4 was a big dissapointment, or its going to be the biggest flop and sonys going to loose alot of hardcore ps3 fans. to keep members waiting so long the game has got to be spectacular now and just slaughter forza.

GT5 has absolutely awful car damage and it's only on selected cars. Is that proof enough that it simply isn't up to scratch with Forza already?

thing is everyone is judging how GT5 prologue is at this very moment in time.

when in fact the people who have made GT5 (the new one thats coming out in december) has most probs ripped the game to bits and re-designed nearly every aspect. from physics to car damage.

unless you have full solid proof of the new game play. even though they still have 2+ months to tweak the final edit some more.

then il agree with what you say. for as of now no one can say anything about GT5. as its all speculation.

Dude, I'm going by GT5 gameplay, not prologue. Polyphony have also confirmed that alot of GT5 is exactly the same as prologue such as the interface/menus etc.

That video shows it off even better. You still just bounce off of the walls and the other cars. The Ai still just follows the racing line and ploughs into you regardless, if you watch when he smacks the R8 and he goes flying, the R8 doesn't even flinch and carries on driving.

The handling also looks as if it still has the same wallowy characteristics of GT4 and GT5 prologue, such a shame.

Honestly, GT5 looks shite and I'm gutted as I've played every single one and was really looking forward to it.

I think both games are/will be very very good obv they wont be perfect (like real life driving) and im sure in the next few months GT5 will edit the damage codes to make it more like Forza so they will be very similar games. and i guess it will then be down to personal preferance of which game you will buy depending on which console you prefer and which game you have experiance with!

Im a PS3 man, and i like GT so i will be buying GT5 and i will throughly enjoy playing it!!! haha

from the damage videos if it were to look like that damage looks crap handling and graphics looked loverly though and if its also got a decent car list ill probably buy it anyway, but so far anyone whos anyone whos played both games knows so far forzas outdone the whole gran tourismo series yea the gt series used to be ace untill forza came along. but that could change with the latest one and i think that because you dont make fans wait so long to build a shit game, in truth for gt5 to beat forza it needs to have everything forza 3 has and more so it should do to taking so long to come out.

but deep down i think i will be amazed by gt5 and be rushing out to buy a ps3, ill always be a forza man because i dont like the ps3s same as i didnt like ps2 but bought one just for gt4.

Read this thread and look at the videos and read up on some interviews with the game dev's or the prereviews from people playing the game.
