Trance Old vs new???
So which do you prefer?
Alot of people will allways say trance is not as good as the old stuff in the mid-late 90s, but personally I think the last year or two we have been getting some of the best trance ever.

I am luckily just making lame jokes, Id quite happily shoot that bitch in the face with a harpoon gun.
Not a massive trancehead, but do like listening to the stuff and 'On a good day' is a quality track, aswell as a few others Ive got on the ol ipodge

On a good day still rocks.
Singing along to it with the guys whilst a few thousand people go wild

yeah, currently its not doing it for me.
Ive been going through some of my old trance cds and I just think now the productions are getting better than ever.
We had a few great tracks in the 90s but seemed to be hit and miss, now there just so much talent/stuff churned out that theres alot to enjoy.

Tbh I prefered the non vocal blissful trance of the old school. The majority of the newer stuff doesn't have the same addictive riffs the older stuff did

Yeah I know what you mean. My problem is a lot of the stuff I was listening to back then has massive sentimental meaning so even if the newer stuff was better I'd stil give a biased opinion!
Can't beat sytem f out of the blue though for getting your heart racing and filling you with emotion! Or pvd's angel to lift you higher than you've ever been before in a club (back in the day, not now)

I was also thinking of ayla ayla, etc... I still love it, but i dont know it just doesnt hit me like the new stuff does now.
I can go through many classics I love, I used to be able to name almost every decent trance track going when i was younger. Now I cant and i work with the guys lol! theres just alot of good productions out there.
PVD still has good vibes live (imo he blew armin away last year when i saw them both 2 weeks appart).

I voted both as an actual trance producer id be an idiot to say only one lols.
if it want for hte old stuff id have not gotten idea's etc etc. and the new stuff is just a new form of hte old stuff really.
build ups are the same track structures etc etc. its just the sounds and mastering thats made the tracks different from age to age sorta thing. if that makes any sence what so ever haha.

Improvments in technology and the way they are mastered will allways have an effect.
Having the technology available to a wider audience also seems to be having an effect.
